


Meet our Pastor, Reverend Robert Brooks III, the current Under Shepherd leading and guiding His flock at Peoples Union Baptist Church. Born in Macon, GA to the late Reverend & Mrs. Robert Brooks Jr. Pastor Brooks with his wife Janice of 35+ years have three children and four grandchildren.
Reverend Brooks accepted the Lord at a very young age at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Warner Robins, GA pastored by his father Reverend Robert Brooks Jr. He joined Third Mount Zion Baptist Church, Woodford, VA in 2009 under the pastorate of Reverend Antonio M. Baker Sr. After several years of Christian discipleship and serving as the leader of the Men’s Ministry, Reverend Brooks received and responded to the call of the Lord to proclaim the Gospel message. He was licensed to preach in December 2014 and ordained in December 2017. Since then, his ministry has been marked by many people coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Reverend Brooks educational background includes a Master of Arts in Theology from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary at Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA; a Master of Arts in Computer Resources and Information Technology from Webster University, St. Louis, MO; and a Bachelor of Science in Music from Fort Valley State University, Fort Valley, GA.
Reverend Brooks is a retired US Army Signal Corps Officer. During his tour of duty, he received numerous military honors, awards and decorations. He is currently employed with Intelligent Shift LLC., a government contractor, as a Senior Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA.
Reverend Brooks has served in churches throughout the United States and overseas in many capacities. He is and has been a true servant of the Lord at Church and in the community including Associate Minister at Third Mount Zion Baptist Church leading the Men’s Ministry and teaching Sunday School. He has been the Minister of Music for the Gospel Service at Woodlawn Chapel, Fort Belvoir; the Choir and Music Director at Broadway Baptist Church, Augusta, GA; and the Main Post Chapel, Fort Clayton, Republic of Panama; Minster of Music at Fellowship Baptist Church, Colorado Springs, CO; and supported the Historical Black Colleges and Fraternity Alumni Chapters.
Reverend Brooks in addition, currently serves a Bible Study teacher and writer of a Christian weekly column for the Breath of Life Ministries, a Christian fellowship of believers with over 780 members, readers and supporters out of the Stone-Gate building in Chantilly, VA.
